=)

hi everyone.. i know it is a weird timing to write a blog now :) but i really feel like share abit of my feelings here.. i guess the past few days have been extraordinary for us.. the stress of exam has pushed us to a point that we may never think of.. at least, to me it is.. and to an extent i feel that there is just another Xinying controlling me.. i am just like in a total sympathetic mode with full of rationality.. not hungry not sleepy.. only until today i feel that i have gradually come back to myself.. and I started to FEEL..

Honestly what i feel now is a mixture of feelings.. was talking with Shihoay just now in the balcony and looking at vista and IMU from that spot really made me realised that there were so much memories in many little corners around here.. moments of ups and downs.. pictures of so many people came across my mind :)

tomorrow is the OSCE exam, but it is also the last day that the whole M207 batch will gather together,, and after that, M207 will be a history of IMU.. and i would like to thank every single person and challenge in IMU that had taught me so many things in this 2 and a half years.. i have learnt alot and discovered more about myself :) and if there is one thing that i would like to share about what have i learnt, i would say is the understanding of love.. i learnt not only how to love others, but to love myself as well :) all the difficulties and challenges made me understand that - no matter what seasons of life, i should never forget to love myself.. to give myself a pat when i am down, to reward myself when i deserved it, to give the best of myself because i believe in my potential, to be patient with myself, to admit my mistakes and continue to learn and to endure in some hardships because i understand it is good for me and made me grow :)
Sometimes we are so busy searching in every corner for a perfect one who can always understand us and lend us a shoulder to lean on at the correct time, and we are willing to invest all we have on that person... only after searching for some time, i realise that the one person that i am searching for is myself.. the person i should invest on is myself.. because i understand we cannot expect there is someone who is convenient to be there for us every time :)
and i really want to say a BIG THANK YOU to all of you, thanks Jeannie for all the encouraging and interesting posts and sharing of knowledge, thanks Wheiying for practising OSCE and also mms session with me and also your sunshine smile that always made me feel warm, thanks to LayQueen for always activating my smile reflex especially with yummy food, thanks to Shihoay, my regular dinner and drama watching accompanion who always provide me source of entertainment, thanks to KaiRou for the knowledge and attitude in studies that made me learnt, thanks to Justin for his jokes and also multilevel thinking questions that made learning so interesting, thanks to Yingsee for sharing of knowledge in OSCE. thanks to all milers juniors and seniors who always motivate me with messages, thanks to my wonderful housemates :) haha i really feel very xinfu to know all of you!!!

Together, we shall finish the race well tomorrow :) Good luck!

Can I have a look of your hands? :)

hehe the take home message from this hands is not the smiley curvature on the palm that *claims* to indicate that one's future spouse will be good looking * i really refused to believe in that cause that line in my hand is as straight as a ruler!!! =(* hehe what i want to share is that ~ our parents have given us a pair of hand, and it is medicine that turns this pair of ordinary hand into something called - the healing hand :)

And hopefully with this pair of healing hand, we can capture every glimpse of hope our patients have layed upons us.... :)

Hippocrate said that when there is love of medicine , there is love of humankind .. and this picture definitely reminds me of Jeannie favourite quote ~ with the presence of love, miracles do happen.. :)

May we always treasure the chance given to pursue that pair of healing hand :)

A little Food For Thought.. DREAM

Something crossed my mind 2 nights ago before i sleep, and i would love to share with you all :)

I believe that deep down inside, everyone has a dream, different types of dream perhaps, big or small.. and more than often we may have more than one..* I think I am the type that have many small little dreams =p* some people may know their dreams very early, some people never realize they have a dream, and some people may lose it along the way..

But inevitably,, during the relentless effort of pursuing our dreams, sometimes we trip, sometimes we fall, sometimes the challenge and stress seemed to be so unbearable and made us cann’t even breathe.. and during this time.. some thoughts rise up.. and made us believe that perhaps our dreams may never come true, and perhaps it is time to give up..

That is one way to look at it.. but I realize there is another way to see this...
Maybe all these pain, stress and falls aren’t telling you that you cann’t achieve your dream.. Perhaps they are telling you that – you are not just dreaming , but living your dream… you are making it come true, with you effort, your hardship and your determination.

A dream that is flawless, effortless and perfect will forever remain as a dream, isn’t it?
Because it is so unreal, it forever lacks that one thing called –Reality..

So remember the next time when you are tired of how cruel and difficult REAL life can be.. Be grateful! Cause it also meant that you are actually embracing the journey of making your dream into a Reality..

Hope that all of us can continue to protect our dreams, may it be small or big..
Live your dream and accept the effort and challenge that come together in the same package with your dream.. and then one day.. just one day, your dream will definitely come into alive :)

And honestly, I feel that having the opportunity and ability to live our dream is a blessing itself.. cause many people don’t have it.. so the next time when we are tired of too many things to do.. remember that at some part in the world, some people are happy, just simply because…. they have something to do :)

the time traveller's wife

we still think medical when its after our ICA.
" there are 4 kinds of alien encounters.
the fourth kind is abduction"

I believe in the impossible
If I reach deep within my heart
Overcome any obstacle
Won't let this dream fall apart
See I strive to be the very best
Shine my light for all to see
Cause anything is possible
When you believe

Post ICA syndrome!!

I think I am really experiencing what is beautifully termed as " Post ICS Syndrome" by Karim.. the symptoms include lethargy, mental block and most importantly disorientated! My brain is just quite blank and cann't really think.. maybe i used up too much of neurones for the past few days!! So how's everyone coping with the post ICA? Alicia said that this ICA is just a small storm before the nuclear bomb attacked Hiroshima.. quite scary but quite funny the way she described =p
hehe just a little update!! Jeannie ShiHoay Wenpeng and I went to watch a movie yesterday.. quite random but fun i think.. we watched Time Traveller's Wife.. very nice!! Thanks alot to aHoay for introducing us the movie.. romantic type of movie wasn't the cup of my tea in the past.. just don't really believe in romance.. but things keep changing.. n now actually i like to watch this type of movie :) and something funny! we actually took photo in the cinema.. quite noob right!! haha.. Maybe Jeannie u can update the photo when you are free! and another random thing i did was to overnight in Shihoay's room!! nice pillow talk with Hoay and also her housemates.

Anyway i m still happy with our post ICA celebration.. though we did not go as far as we could like what we did in Sem 1 and Sem 2.. i think the yummy pan mee with yummy egg + a brisk walk which ended up standing under the shelter with Kairou and Jeannie because of rain + 3 am supper with Wenpeng + facebooking + blog reading + blogging were actually quite fun!!
I think we should adopt what Jeannie suggested - to write down our TO-DO-LIST after exam for example spend one hour to dress up before going out or exercise to slim down which i really need!

OK enough of crapping and randomness.. hope everyone will continue to keep the spirit high for this two week and never forget to enjoy the journey!!

" Happiness is using our potential to the fullest.
Striving against difficulties and overcoming them.
Reaching out for inner strength and perserverence.
We are happy when we are learning, growing and accomplishing.
We are happy when we are working towards a worthwhile goal that demands the best of us.
We are happy when we are helping others to succeed along life's journey.
Search for happiness in everything you do =) "

We give our best not because we cann't afford to fail.. but because we believe in our potential and strive hard to live up to it!

Jiayou jiayou to all the future smart , grogeous, caring SEXY doctors! =p prove to ourselves we have something else besides hamsapness! Lol =Pp

Your post ICA syndrome patient,
Xinying

hello people:):)
just a shoutout to all of you to keep the nerding spirit high! i know there can be times when you feel like throwing your notes aside and head back to bed or simply not feel like doing anything and just walk of here, but but but, just hold on the little bit of strength you've got there!

just a recap of a message from teck jian, one of my all time favourite:)
if you find yourself at the end of the rope, tie a knot and hang on there!

and another recap from me:)
as long as there is breath in me,
that long i will persist,
for now i know one of the greatest principles of success,
if i persist long enough,
i will win :)

go, fight, win the battle!
