happy day!

hoho! queen and myself just went for blood donation and we met someone there which totally made our ( or at least my) day! lol. good karma, good day indeed :)

we are now at second day of CNS and i was already feeling so stressed last nite after the pbl with dr nkm. but i like him, and also his tie ( he has one funny animal tie too! =P )

which reminds me of a joke that i told fatimah today during our lecture. there's this part of the clinical examinations which requires us to test the power of the patient, which is part of the motor component. during this test, we are supposed to compare the power of the patient in comparison with our own strength. so basically, you have to oppose the actions of the patient.

so how do we give instructions?

dr: please resist me!

patient: sorry i can't. you are simply irresistable.

LOL ..

i am actually thinking how to reply the patient if this really happens next time, which is like high chance wei!

another joke just came into my mind suddenly. remember last year when we just started practising osce, when wp was our sp?

senior: upon inspection of the fingers, there's no clubbing, ...

wp: (joke: wah, go clubbing or not can see from fingers wei =p )

LOL

third joke of the day,

queen: you know there are 14 types of gait?

cutie: really ar? you mean like bill Gait, col Gait ....

LOL

yea, i know i am funny:)

on some serious notes,

in ytd's lectures we learn that in limbic system, there's this reverberating circuits, which explains why emotions outlast the stimulus.

'' the neocortex sits astride the limbic system like a rider on a horse without reins'' Nauta.

that explains a lot~

oh man oh man! tmr is the last day of september. means october is coming. hohohoho!

back to studies people.

absolutely #seventeen

the #17 post just right from me:)
you should have noticed the change in the layout. i like the background a lot and tried hard to make it fit in, though it still didnt work out the way i wanted it to be. but at a time of 2.14am, i couldnt care less. all i need now is some rejuvenating sleep oh sleep.

i think i will continue to pretend to like this layout until im extremely free to decide to change to make it better, but that day might not come in the near future. hehh. so just bear with it till then:)

i had a food-ful day yesterday. it was my cousin's wedding and i have been up since 8am and eating is the only thing i do, besides watching people and trying to keep myself entertained. before 12noon, i ate breakfast, mid-morning buffet, lunch buffet, because i had to shift places so ended up eating wherever we go. and you know my serving size, it wont get shortchanged. then tea break followed by the usual wedding dinner. im stuffed, stuffed, stuffed, pertually. (but feeling good still because I had this LOVELY coconut jelly in a coconut, which is very, very nice:) )

alright, time for me to sleep before i pop onto the bus back to KL in the morning
holidays ending in less than 24hours!

raya break=)

hello!!a very good morning to all my beloved chabors!!=)i am here to get some motivation to study after slacking for so many days..i have been spending most of my time with naomi for the past one week...bringing her out almost every lunch time, then play with her, then bring her to the garden in the evening...and my progress on studies is really slow, does not even reach a "quarter"of my goal..haha but i will forget eos5 and all the stress everytime i look at her,her innocent face,mashi-maro smile and care free life..so everytime i go back to my room and look at the books and notes,i will be so stressed and kept thinking of so many ways to console myself..haha..and one of the ways is i will take it as the preparation in the future when i have a family and yet trying to be a competent doctor..haha..geng or not me?can think so far away=p to quote from hannyee, family and career run parallely.later my sisters, naomi and i are invited to my aunt's house to spend the whole day there..she will prepare lunch and dinner for us=)and i am going to be a nerd bringing my notes there..haha..so chabors-men,jia you jiayou!!Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after another..and i am looking forward to meeting u all on monday!i miss all of u=)

6.53 rhymes with p53

hello my fellow hamsaps,

didn't know got so many new posts after my laptop crashed yet again. (yesyes i know 3rd time in a row, which prompted my momma to remark in hokkien: BO SA PU SENG LEI!)

so i'm typing this from the library elab, which has been relatively quiet this past 2 days. (something i think i will be missing when term starts again with the influx of the students through the glass gated channels, much like that of sodium through their voltage gated channels in the cell membrane) and as you can see from my choice of words, i am T_T, and soon enough will transform into this ---> X_X (hahaha)

I'M MISSING ALL OF YOU!!!! hurry up and come back to restore me into this --> ^_^

plus something more to share:

google up or youtube olivia ong's The Rose and take a listen (:

Some say love it is a river that drowns the tender reed
Some say love it is a razer that leaves your soul to blead
Some say love it is a hunger an endless aching need
I say love it is a flower and you it's only seed

It's the heart afraid of breaking that never learns to dance
It's the dream afraid of waking that never takes the chance
It's the one who won't be taken who cannot seem to give
and the soul afraid of dyingthat never learns to live

When the night has been too lonely
and the road has been too long
and you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong

"Just remember in the winter
far beneath the bitter snows
lies the seed that with the sun's love in the spring becomes the rose"

==============

and a safe trip back with a rejuvenated and renewed might, i wish to all.

hello people!
im currently at the national library of singaporee :) reason why i travel the distance is because my reward is dangling in front of me, shopping at bugis right after this. (yay) after spending almost the whole day at the library, im happy to say that i've completed almost the whole, but not yet cos theres still pharmaco, of respi system today :) is that considered some sort of motivation for you guys?

just some bits of the national library, the whole building is very tall, i think theres slightly more than 11storeys. this morning, just half an hour past the opening time, i headed towards to the study lounge and was shocked to find that ALL SEATS, every single one of them are taken. all i could see was heads and laptops. but luckily enough i could find seats at the central library. anyway, my point is not to tell you guys that its hard to find seats in the library, but the fact that, everyone out there, not only us pathetic medical students, who's minds are set only on EOS, are spending time, putting in efforts, be it studying or working. sometimes we tend to think we are caught in a far worse situation than the rest. we complain, we rant about how we have to squueze 9 systems into our pea-sized brain (at least i do), but how are we so sure, the others are having a whale of their time out there? my older sister, for instance, has to squeeze 5 years of medicine for her final exams before we can even call her a doctor. the person sitting beside me (me being a professional stalker, thinks he's doing business) has 3 thick books on human resource, compensation blablablah while i, only have a photocopied MedEssentials book. hahaha

edit: and so, michael jackson's song number would fit in here aptly - you are not alone. think you are the only one suffering out there? think only your brain is pea-sized and cant seem to remember what you've supposedly just learnt that few hours ago? think your life is miserable, having to study day and night and a day without studying is guilty? you're not alone, my friends :)

ohhh one more thing, theres this courtyard outside the student lounge at level5. its like an open air mini garden in the middle of the building. theres trees, plants, benches, wooden planks. and when i stepped out there to get some fresh air, the place was again, filled with people. whether they are sitting on the benches or on the wooden planks, whether they are in groups or couple or single, all studying (my assumption). the feeling i get is like, as though these people (i was like that too when i was studying in spore, anywhere, so long as there's a place for me to sit, i will study there), as long as theres a place, they can make do with it and study. no idea how to go about describing the kind of motivation i got when i see these people studying, my point probably couldn't get past to you all, but yea, just something i saw today that made me feel we should all just work harder.

oh then it got me thinking, wouldn't it be good if we were to have some sort of open air balcony in imu, perhaps in the library. that way, we can choose to step out there to destress, to chill around or simply get out of the freezing place for a moment, maybe add some flower pots too, hahah.

alright, im done here.
happy holidays still, people!
and happy mugging! :)

So for those who are working hard at this moment, go go get going! jiayou!
=)

Greetings!

hey ho people! =) greetings from the land of hamsapness. i would have to agree with jinying, oh i mean xinying that studying at hometown required a GREAT deal of perseverance. haish. actually i just came back from awana at some ulu place in terengganu. was trying really hard to focus when my cousin/relatives were playing/chatting at the background. so in the end, i ended up walking to the beach and using the gym. and good news, i am pain-free after running for 5km! =)

sad news for the day, Yoshito Usui is dead :( which means no more crayon shin chan for me. for those of you who don't know, i am a big fan of crayon shin chan, or at least i used to be. haha. which explains the hamsapness =P

my collection!

and yep, like wheiying said, discipline is the bridge between goal and success. i agree that discipline is important. but most importantly, having a ultimate goal is the most important thing now, which i think some of us are still searching for. but i want to share something that yingc said shared with me, self discipline without a goal is like self punishment! so yep, practise your aiming skills more often from wayne rooney, so that u can strike a goal, okay , i know i am lame... =P STUDY STUDY STUDY!

anyway, thankyou xinying for posting up all the useful links! and before i forget, happy hari raya everybody, especially to our fatimah! =P

i happen to think im cuter! (and pretty in pinkk)
you see, i have been a big fan of pink since 2years old. and i still think im cute (and botak)

anyway, thanks so much for taking time to come and support yesterday!! i supposed you all have been bitten by mosquitoes, cos that place is famous for them. haha, so funny that i didnt warn before hand.

happy holidays, everyone :) time for a good, well deserved break before we recharge ourselves to continue the exhausting no doubt but last stretch of road!

Tra~la~la

i need to clarify something here! i chose the blog skin because most of the rest of the blog skins are like so common. and to have friend(s) who love PINK/PURPLE, i cant help but to be desensitized with the two colors. haishh.. and yea, random note, i havent worn the PINK TEE for quite sometime ady. haha. shall wear it one day when i feel PINKISH =P

anyway, back to the topic, yea, we shall choose a nice blog skin and change it soon. it's an eyesore to even access to this website now.lol. i wanted to write a introductory/welcoming speech in the first post, but some kiasu people just beat me. shall do it when i am less tired.

wait, i think we need to set some rules for this blog.

1. no vulgarities/cursing please. ( hamsapness is fine, eventhough we are non-hamsap people, but you see, we are trying to make the world a better place=P)

2. good england is highly encouraged. ( especially some certain someone! )

3. post as frequent as possible, everyone! please don't let this blog die. even if its just one sentence, please contribute yea. this is especially important as we move on to phase 2.

i think i have crapped enough. will post up more interesting things when i am in the mood. haha. something to entertain u guys in the mean time, my ''retarded'' baby pic!

laugh all u want! pfft.. my hairstyle is cute ok!
that's a cuter version of me . ya ya ya. i know i am cute.

haha, that's all for now! and yea, before i forget, CONGRATS JEANNIEE! well worth the effort! =) it just showed that, sometimes, all it takes in life is having the passion in the things you do.

from the land of cuteness,
kairou :)

hello hello!
looks like im the first. why the colour, it greeted me with a mild surprise when i entered the site, pink. not that im not a fan of it, but haha, this coming from the person who only has ONE pink TEE.

you could probably tell that im kind of sian-ed from trying hard to study, thats why i can be here to to ramble and crap.
